A company from the north buys Georgia ground directly after the end of the World War II in order to erect a super-farm. Only three properties are still in private possession. Henry Warren, who wants to sell, promised to persuade also Rad McDowell and the black Reeve Scott. However the two want to keep their farms. Warren applies more and more rigorous methods to push his interests. The escalation of hate and violence occurs.
