The money counterfeiter Salomon Sorowitsch is arrested at Berlin in the year 1936 as a jew and criminal by the Nazis. After several detours he ends up at the KZ Sachsenhausen where the master counterfeiter is called into a secret team of experts. Salomon receives the order to counterfeit Pound and Dollar notes in a big style to damage the trade power of the allied war enemies. In exchange the Nazis promise their involuntary coalitionists a preferred treatment. The plan seems to be successful: Salomon's counterfeit money looks misleadingly real. But how far can a pact with the enemy go?
