The most prominent character trait of the Pig-Born is his going a straight path. He tackles his goal without detour directly. The ways of deception, the intrigue and the going behind is not the path of the people born under the sign of the Pig. He generally deals with others in an absolute open and honest way. This is quite pleasant and does not lead to misunderstandings. Pigs say clearly what they want and answer questions without mistrust. It is not their way to hide anything from others.

What many people dislike at the Pig is that they have a problem to be orderly. This is quite obvious in the daily life. Piles of papers accumulate on the desk, the drawer has everything in chaos and you meet only rarely a Pig wearing a right pair of socks. This all troubles of course the pedantic. It only then becomes really problematic if the Pig has to do a task at which certain order is necessary. If they try to force themselves it is only harder and they do not feel well because an artificial order is contrary to their straightforwardness. To be orderly is some kind of deception to them.

The Pig in the elements

The pig represents yin water. If the pig sign stands in its element you find in him the purest form of the pig. The Water Pig
There is no other, more diplomatic, more loving, softer and more sensitive than this individual pig. He always is obligingly polite and he doesn't lack the know-how of life. The Wood Pig
This pig is very sociable, loves extensive meals, and is generous and extremely tolerant. Furthermore, this pig-individual is credulous and somewhat distrustful through the disappointments life has inflicted on him. He generally loves to game and sometimes also gambling, more because of the enjoyment than for profit. Since he is favoured by the luck, it could be very lucratively for him. Generally, the pig persons with this element hardly have financial problems. As people addicted to the enjoyment they could be seduced by things judging moral.

The Fire Pig
Despite his realism, this intrepid pig can be interested in the craziest adventures. It indeed often is torn between his sharpness of mind and his courage. Mostly however the latter wins, even if this pig-person has underestimated by far the difficulties of the undertaking. This individual is generous, affable, energetic and very self-conscious. If he isn't careful he could easily fall into a lack of restraint.

The Earth Pig
This pig is ambitious, but realistic and very careful before he can admit on a project or adventure. This attitude is often taken for indecision, but that is wrong. As soon as this pig-human has attained security, meaning he has exactly calculated the risks he is willing to take he is ready to start with the utmost possession and endurance. His weakness for extensive meals has however a bad effect for his waistline. The Metal Pig
This pig is affable, discreet, less naive than his sign comrades, active, sometimes sullen, which never lasts long, and very venturesome. Like all pigs, he is an idealist, and if he values or loves you, he is willing to overlook all your mistakes. As a helpful person he puts the fortune of all over his own interests. Bodily closeness plays a big role for the people born in the year of the Pig. A platonic love is not their thing. To beat about the bush is not their thing. They go straight forward without detour. This sounds rather unromantic but it is not. That the Pig is direct and straightforward does not mean that he only wants the one thing. Who was able to understand a pig better than another pig? The similarities in life style and moral concept should actually be a perfect foundation for a happy togetherness if there wasn't the individualism of the pig. In fact both go on each other nerves because they realise they often have the same thought at the same time. Something the pig hates the most is uniformity. In order for this relationship to work it is important to draw a clear line between their spheres of life.

Pig and Rat
Whether the pig and the rat get along well depends basically on how well the rat can adapt to the kind and trustfully, perhaps sometimes the portly nature of the pig. May there be a mutual sympathy on the basis of common interests in the beginning the rat soon misses the edge in the relationship. Crises are pre-programmed, which could lead to the pig and rat getting closer if they are overcome together. Then both will value what they have in the other.

Pig and Ox
The pig and the ox are an uneven couple. The ox literally stands with two feet on the ground of facts and the pig is with his head constantly in the clouds. In the beginning the ox thinks the pig is an odd codger and the pig thinks the ox is bourgeois. But soon the two discover how well their different lifestyles complement each other. Both have one thing in common; they don't let others have a say in their matters. And that is all they share. The tiger is very much irritated by the indecisiveness of the pig. The pig does not understand the tiger that does not waste time if he thinks something is right to do. Pig and Rabbit

Pig and Dragon
A pig and a dragon seem to be an unlike couple at the first gaze in which the roles are clearly given. The dragon directs and the pig dances. A misconception! The pig understands it perfectly to get the dragon exactly where he wants him to be without the dragon seeing through the manoeuvre. Pig and Snake
Some people might think that the pig with his tolerance and insightful nature has no chance against the sometimes manipulative snake in this relationship. And indeed the pig will fall for the charismatic snake at the beginning. But as soon as the pig sees through the snake the snake will see the awe inspiring boar in the pig and quickly change her opinion. Pig and Horse
At least the horse and the pig regard each other with sympathy and if they enter into a relationship it happens out of a true deep feeling for the mutual trust. But soon there is the danger that the horse feels stopped by the sometimes predictable nature of the pig and starts to feed on other grazing lands. The pig can only counter that by showing the horse how special and unique it is. The pig only needs few surprising moments in order to bind the horse for the long haul.

Pig and Goat
The pig and the goat fall in love with each other from the very first moment. They recognise and find a soul mate in the respective other that can only rarely be found. Both like to listen to their intuition and both take a great effort in letting the other feel good. Soon they build their common nest and plan for a future happiness. Since both have a very gentle nature to treat each other and always have the best interest in each other a relationship between the pig and the goat is usually long lasting.

Pig and Monkey
The monkey is too unstable for the pig's liking and most of all the pig has a problem that the monkey does not take the truth too seriously from time to time, which is an absolute must for the truth loving pig. The monkey thinks the pig is boring and tries to provoke him. From time to time both try to come together but the monkey has difficulties in treating the pig as a true partner. How long the pig will accept that is questionable as well as being a good combination as a couple.

Pig and Rooster
The pig obviously enjoys the rooster helping him with his needs with his great sense of order. The pig is not lazy but sometimes somewhat uncoordinated and exactly here the rooster complements the pig. The rooster on the other hand benefits from the mental clearness of the pig, which helps the pig to solve some mental knots. The rooster and pig won't have a spectacular relationship but they will always be there for each other and treat each other with great respect.

Pig and Dog
There is no question, dog and pig like each other. Truth and honesty are high values for both which they find in the respective other. Yet while the dog is drawn to the wide world to put his ideals into reality, the pig is satisfied with the small happiness of togetherness in the own home. The dog is again and again disappointed by that since he feels that the pig basically agrees with him but cannot retrace the dog's zest for action.
