Chinese Astrology: The Rooster

With the sign of the Rooster there is a tremendous difference between the sexes: While you can find extremely strong female Rooster often the males show a certain eccentricity. Roosters carry - no matter what gender - great energy within themselves with which they get things started and move the world. While the female Rooster uses her energy in a rather discreet way the males usually use big gestures.

Especially men born in the year of the Rooster often aspire with all might the big. They are not easily satisfied and constantly wish to reach more - often more than it does good. In a certain way this is positive because the inner drive to reach more leads to their development not getting stuck. But to have the high goal constantly in front of the eyes can become quite laborious - especially for the fellowman. Roosters often enter a dream world in which many things they want they already have achieved. The fellowman is then stunned to hear from their great actions but mostly they are looked through and seen as an arrogant boaster.

If they enter their fantasy world too much it is to their disadvantage. They lose their positive initiative because in their head they have actually reached everything.

It can be different also with the Rooster and this is proven by the females of this sign. They also have the urge to reach the higher but not to produce themselves like the men. They too realize their goals in a dream world but they do not tell others but simply enjoy the imagination to have reached something. The consequences do go the same direction by losing a bit of the positive drive but they are not as serious as with the male Roosters.

It is the good qualities the Rooster possess that lets reach him the high goals. First they do not lack self-confidence. If you do not trust yourself it is rather difficult to reach anything. Especially if you want to motivate other people you need self-confidence. Others will have a hard time to trust if you do not trust yourself. Roosters do not know this problem. However, their self-confidence is partially over the top.

Sometimes the character of the outer Rooster shows in vanity. They like to stand in front of the mirror, polish their appearance and appreciate nice clothes whereas they do not follow fashion so much but rather set trends themselves.

Roosters have many edges which show quite quickly when interacting with other people. The feelings of others towards them tend noticeably towards two clear directions: Either the Rooster is loved or it is hated. In general the Rooster contributes much to having other people's feelings polarized in that way. He is quite tactless. He himself is not sensitive if criticized so he expects it from others as well. The lust to criticize is strong and mostly it hits because the Rooster has the ability to analyze situations, people and character quite well. If Roosts hold up the mirror it can be too much for others.

The Water Rooster
Here, we have an imposing, serious, flexible, open, adaptable, exact, intelligent and resolved rooster. In fact, this is the perfect specimen of the rooster family where the positive qualities exceed the negatives by far. He, however, is also very touchy. He is not always able to have his moods under control and he often is unforgiving.

The Wood Rooster
This rooster is decent, sociable, idealistic, energetic and spontaneous. He often is tolerant and sometimes is inclined to complicating the simplest things. He is very responsible, always has the best intention, is subject to heights and lows, gets fits of rage and is impatient. Through his obstinacy and his open nature, he is capable to give big performances.

The Fire Rooster
With his energy, motivation and enthusiasm, this human leader has the best prerequisites to be successful. He is lively, explosive, authoritarian, inflexible and a bad loser. He is devoted, generous, doesn't endure tricky people or exposure. As a charismatic human leader and success possessed human being, he also is a person who likes pleasure.

The Earth Rooster
This rooster is sensitive, warm-hearted and loves teamwork but also likes to work alone in research. He is diligent and awfully fussy, even manic. He doesn't avoid the responsibility but must constantly be motivated and encouraged. Once secured, he pounces on the work after he had planned it carefully. He has something of a moralizer and in heart-issues he doesn't feel well in his skin.

Chinese Sign Rooster: Love & Emotion

Nobody else falls in love at first glance as quickly as a Rooster. It often happens that the chosen partner matches quite will. Roosters have a good intuition in all thins dealing with love. But until they have found the right person some time could pass - ideal partners are not easily found. This time of waiting the Rooster likes to spend with adventures.

Despite their liking to criticise and their partially obvious tactlessness it is easy for them to gain other peoples' hearts. Roosters are very good actors (although for the profession they lack the intuition) and they show their best side once they have met someone. They are good hosts and are liked as party guests.

Until a firm relationship Roosters have to be patient. They are quite demanding partners, not only because of the already mentioned lust to criticise but also because of their unpredictable change of emotions. It is not easy to predict how a Rooster might act to events - not even for himself. Also the eccentric acting of the males of this sign can lead to problems in a relationship. Adding to that is the Roosters' jealousy whether it is entitled or not.

All in all, the Rooster would do good not to commit too early but to wait for the right partner. He can then trust his intuition. To reach a harmonic relationship he should work on himself and try to develop a little bit more insight into others.

The Rooster & the other Chinese signs

Rooster and Rooster
Two roosters in one stable won't go well for long and they will try to hack each other from the farm ground. Mutually they outbid each other in fault finding and nitpicking. The action one does without hesitation he will in the next second scornfully reproach the other with. To the outsider it is surprising that those two stay together. It is not habit. There is a deep and honest love behind all of this ill-will.

Rooster and Dog
The rooster is actually a more homely type while the dog is drawn to the wide world. This does not look the best choice for the building up of a joint future. However, if each can learn to accept the other's attitude towards life, a very free and on generosity based relationship can evolve, which is not fed by an everlasting passion but by the feeling to have someone at his side which stands by him when it matters. It is more standing shoulder to shoulder what makes this relationship than romantic love. It seems to suffice for the dog and the rooster.

Rooster and Pig
The pig obviously enjoys the rooster helping him with his needs with his great sense of order. The pig is not lazy but sometimes somewhat uncoordinated and exactly here the rooster complements the pig. The rooster on the other hand benefits from the mental clearness of the pig, which helps the pig to solve some mental knots. The rooster and pig won't have a spectacular relationship but they will always be there for each other and treat each other with great respect.

Rooster and Rat
When the rat and the rooster meet, both will ask them whether one is truly ready to give the other enough space. At first both feel threatened by the other. But a certain attraction cannot be denied because both feel quickly that they expect similar things of the world. Is that enough to form a relationship? Rooster and Ox
The rooster and the ox have everything needed to become a dream couple. The rooster feels protected in the safety giving power of the ox and the ox thinks the brave self-conception of the rooster is a welcomed but not exaggerated complement. The ox shares with the rooster diligence and the joy of performance and thus both quickly meet in the striving to continuously improve the living standard. Rooster and Tiger
Some say that this combination is probably one of the best for the tiger and the rooster because here two people meet who know exactly what they want and are ready to work for it. Tiger and rooster are two that will steal horses together. However, this only works as long as both follow the same goals. As soon as different interests play a part it could come to massive disputes. Sometimes the one does not know how to perceive the other. It comes to misunderstandings and jealousy. Rooster and Rabbit
The reserved rabbit and the vain rooster cannot go well. Perhaps the rabbit punishes the rooster with disregard in the beginning and rejects his acts of courtship. The rooster on the other hand strings the rabbit along not to show him behind his very critical nature how much he actually cares for the rabbit. Rooster and dragon are very independent personalities and as such they are able to deal with each other quite well. Both do not want to argue the other's rights because of the own free space. Thus it might seem for the outstanding person as if both form rather a relationship on purpose which mainly consists of not giving the other stress. In truth the rooster and the dragon are connected by something more of depth that they do not like to present to the public but what can be found in expressing a quite understanding, an affectionate gaze or a soft touch.

Rooster and Snake
If two fit together then it is the snake and the rooster. Here elegance and a sense of style form a bond. Without problems you could imagine both as the stars on the red carpet. Wherever they appear they create attention. Even when alone, they feel a deep connection and some kind of spiritual kinship. Rooster and Horse
At first the horse does not like the rooster. The rooster's love of order, his goal oriented efficiency, his endurance; all of these are not qualities the horse holds in high regard. However, internally not everything is as shiny as it seems, especially when it comes to the daily life. Neither rooster nor monkey has a real talent for that. But if both take their time outs from time to time the relationship between the monkey and the rooster can always be fresh and last for an entire life.
