Sam, Dean and Bobby are still at the laboratory where Castiel had swallowed all the souls from purgatory. Demanding to bow before him or being destroyed all three bow down but Castiel stops them realising that bowing down without meaning it means nothing and that they fear him and not love or respect him. Yet Castiel does not kill them. Once they were his favourite pets before they had turned on him. Now, being the new god, he doubts that the three will turn against him again. Tywin Lannister and his son Jaime have gathered their troops to prepare for battle and to free Tyrion Lannister from his imprisonment when Eddard Stark's message arrives to summon Tywin Lannister before the court.
