Berlin (Germany), December 15th, 2004
Long faces among the fans that started to line up at the Red Carpet in freezing temperatures around 3 pm when word got through that the stars of Ocean's Twelve were supposed to hurry through the Red Carpet session to be at the cinema within seventeen minutes.
But not with Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Don Cheadle; in obviously good mood and prepared for the cold with gloves and scarves, they signed autographs and let fans take pictures for a good length of forty minutes. While Brad worked the fan lines with method (Ten meters on the left side walking back said ten meters to do the right side, walking over to the left side again), Matt Damon entertained the screaming masses by changing professions. Grabbing fan cameras left and right he took pictures of his co-star only to give the cameras back to very happy fans. Both must be well versed in all kinds of digital cameras by now. Tons of pictures were taken with fans. And so it didn't matter at all that George Clooney couldn't be there because of a slipped disc.
The end marked the trio appearing on the CineStar's balcony, waving to the crowds below and Matt Damon speaking: "We really feel honoured that you've been waiting for us in this cold. You are great. Thanks a lot."
Ocean's Twelve opens in Germany on December 16th.
