Our biorhythm starts with the day of our birth and is repeated in particular cycles in an up-and-down curve until our death. The upper half (above zero level) is the active phase. The one below zero is the passive phase.
The focus should indeed be put on words "active" and "passive" since none of the two halves is either good or bad.
The days where the rhythm changes from active to passive and vice versa are the critical days. During that time, the abilities associated with the curves are unstable.
You should be very careful on those days. Accidents may occur and they are also not good for exams, to sign contracts and the likes. The typical three primary curves are the physical cycle (red), the emotional cycle (green) and the intellectual cycle (blue).

Shadowhunters Nicola Correia-Damude as Maryse Lightwood
Clary Fray is a typical teenager with the dream to study at the Brooklyn School of Art. However, on her 18th birthday her life is turned upside down. Her mother gets kidnapped but not just before she had sent Clary to safety through a magical portal. Now, the young woman must learn that she had been lied to all her life.
She belongs to the people of Shadowhunters, human beings with partly angel blood. They were once created with the help of the Mortal Cup with the purpose to protect the humans from rogue demons. For that, they train hard already from childhood on and learn how to use rune magic in their fight.
Said cup is believed to be in the possession of Clary's mother, also a Shadowhunter who had wanted her daughter to grow up with a normal life as a mundane without all the problems a Shadowhunter life brings along.
On her kidnapping Jocelyn was clever enough to put herself into eternal sleep to be no longer of use for the kidnappers. But the renegade Shadowhunters quickly learn about Clary's existence and blackmail her now to find the cup for them if she wants to see her mother again alive. With it, they want to exterminate all demon life on earth, both the good and the rogue ones.
Clary must quickly adapt into a role she hasn't been trained for. Neither belonging to the world of humans, nor to the one of the Shadowhunters, she gets thrown right into a supernatural war which threatens the very existence of mankind.
Together with Shadowhunters Jace, Alec and Isabelle and her best, human, friend Simon, Clary hears the call of her destiny and enters the secretive parallel world full of dangers and mystical creatures such as angels, demons, vampires, werewolves and warlocks. .
